2022 F-250 Preview

In many ways, the 2022 Ford F-250 remains largely unchanged from its major overhaul back in 2022. Enthusiasts of the Super Duty series continue to be impressed by the F-250's towing and hauling capacity. When it comes to those all-important "best in class" accolades, the F-250's towing capabilities continue to regularly outrank its competitors.

The F-series is America's best-selling truck, so it's little surprise that both new and used F-250s continue to be in high demand. Here we take a look at the 2022 Ford F-250, providing the information needed to decide if this mighty beast (or an older version) is going to be your next purchase from Glenwood Springs Ford.

Starting Prices

The entry-level 2022 F-250 (the XL) starts at $34,950. Prices rise incrementally, with the top of the range F-250 (the King Ranch) coming in at $63,050.

Power Train

Drivers can choose between two gas engines and a diesel option. The standard gas engine is a 6.2L N/A V8. For more power, there's a 7.3L N/A V8. If you prefer a diesel option, the 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo diesel option is also available. Torque is quoted at 430 @ 3,800 revs, 475 @ 4,000 revs, and 475 @ 2,600 revs, respectively./

Drivers can choose between the TorqShift G6-speed SelectShift Automatic and the TorqShift G10-speed SelectShift Automatic with the addition of selectable drive modes.

Interior

Modern, spacious, and well laid out, the F-250's interior is designed for comfort and long hours behind the wheel. Fitted out in easy-clean vinyl, it's air-conditioned and offers plenty of storage for everything from logbooks to coffee cups.

Features

The F-250 is probably most famous for its formidable towing capacity, and the 2022 version doesn't disappoint. The entry-level F-250 is capable of towing up to 13,300 lbs. This rises to 15,000 lbs at the top of the range. Coupled with the range of autonomous driving and safety features that are now standard on the F-250, the result is a powerful predator on the road that also offers a safe, user-friendly driving experience.

Technology

From a rearview camera to the Blind Spot Information System, a 4.2" productivity screen, and a Sync 4 infotainment system, the F-250 boasts an enviable array of tech.

Note that the 2022 F-250 has lost the puny 7" infotainment screen, replacing it with a suitably impressive 12" landscape-orientated option.

Drivability

With plenty under the bonnet and some high-tech design features in the drivetrain, the F-250 is a great truck to drive.
