The Ford Parts Warranty Program

So what is the parts warranty program, and what can you expect? Basically, Ford will cover any Ford and Motorcraft parts that were sold on (or after) October 1, 2013. The warranty is valid for 24 months and for unlimited miles, and there are no commercial exceptions. In particular, the Parts Warranty covers both labor and parts costs, too. For example, labor costs can be reimbursed for up to $150, while you’ll also be able to expect a selection of unique warranty coverages, too, including for:

  • batteries
  • new and re-manufactured transmission and gas engine assemblies
  • diesel engines for light trucks
  • sheet metal
  • struts and shock absorbers
  • and spark plug wire sets.

Of course, there are a few limitations to be aware of — for example, the warranty does not cover parts that fail do to neglect, abuse, impact, or alteration. But all in all, the new Parts Warranty program gives drivers some peace of mind that, in the event that one of the parts in their new Ford fails, they’ll be able to have it replaced at virtually no charge — at least within the space of two years after its purchase date.
