The 2020 Ford F-150 release date has garnered quite a bit of anticipation among Rifle drivers, and the team at Glenwood Springs Ford certainly understands why! The F-150 is one of the most popular models in the Ford lineup, and it always proves reliable. The new model year brings with it a range of new features, configurations, and more. The good news is, the latest F-150 will arrive in Glenwood Springs at the end of 2019! Check in with Glenwood Springs Ford for the most up-to-date information on the F-150’s arrival, but for now, learn more about what’s in store!

2020 Ford F-150 Configurations

The 2020 Ford F-150 configurations mirror those available in the 2019 F-150 trim lineup. That means our favorite models return, including:

  • F-150 XL
  • F-150 XLT
  • F-150 Lariat
  • F-150 King Ranch
  • F-150 Platinum
  • F-150 Limited
  • F-150 Raptor

However, one important distinction to note between the 2019 and 2020 models is the availability of new appearance packages on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is standard across the lineup, as well, and the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite is installed in the Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited models.

2020 Ford F-150 Engine Options

As per usual, the 2020 Ford F-150 engine options are tough to beat. With six engines in the lineup, Denver drivers are sure to achieve exactly the performance they need. Take your pick from the following:

  • 3.5L EcoBoost® rated at 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque
  • High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost® that churns out 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque
  • 3.0L Power Stroke®  Turbo Diesel that delivers 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque and achieves an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway
  • 2.7L Turbocharged EcoBoost® rated at 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque
  • 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 that makes 395 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque
  • 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 rated at 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque

Ford previously teased the idea of a 2020 Ford F-150 Electric Hybrid model, but there has yet to be any announcements about if or when it will be released with the 2020 model lineup, or if Ford will hold off until next year.

2020 Ford F-150 Towing Capacity

Just like the 2019 model, the 2020 Ford F-150 towing capacity depends on the engine you select and overall setup. The 3.5L EcoBoost® , for example, still achieves up to 13,200 pounds of towing. The 2020 F-150 also boasts the same high-tech towing features that have proven themselves on the 2019 model, such as Pro Trailer Backup Assist and dynamic hitch assist with a line-of-sight guide.
